AWARDS CEREMONY

Home Builders Association holds 2008 Awards Ceremony

      The awards are given to show appreciation for the members' hard work over the course of the year.

The Leadership award is given to individuals who have consistently shown initiative over a tenure number of years. Dave Cook (Cook's Construction of Brownsville, Inc.) was given this award for donating his time to HBA activities along with sponsoring numerous Association events. Dave is currently a HBA Board Member, Chairperson for the Clay Shoot Committee, and a member of the Home Show committee.

The Golden Hammer Award is given to a "company" member who has generously supported the association for a specific event. This award was given to Woods Floral and Gifts. Wood's Floral is a behind the scenes member. They assist each year with the annual Christmas Party, Home Show and Scholarship reception. Whenever asked, they are always willing to support the association with either a donation or discounted item.

The Rookie of the Year award is for a new member who has been involved with the association in his/her first year of membership to the association. Deborah Wilke ( Bank Mutual) joined the Parade of Homes , Christmas, Home Show, and Homes of our Own committees during her first few weeks of becoming a member of the Association.

Honorary Members

This award was initailly given in May of 1998 to recognize individuals who have provided exemplary and extraordinary services during their membership in the association, but who are no longer involved in the home building industry trades or services.
